Lost Horse Press, a publishing house in Sandpoint, Idaho was founded in 1998 by Christine Holbert. Specializing in poetry, fiction, and literary non-fiction the press focuses on works that hold value and relevance to society. Known for championing marginalized voices, in literature such as women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ writers.
The press hosts the Idaho Prize for Poetry a contest that rewards a substantial prize and publication for a poetry manuscript. Recently branching out to include a poetry series to introduce Ukrainian poet’s works to English-speaking readers.
